wedding bells

i am SUCH a bad blogger. seriously i decide to bring back the ole blog and then i never post. i do have good excuses though. im taking 2 summer school classes, working, traveling back and forth from waco to dallas each weekend, and packing! more on all that later.

last weekend blake and i made the trek down south to go to a wedding. blake came to waco friday and then we headed out early saturday to catch a ride with my parents to corpus christi. in the car i downloaded the hipstamatic app for my iphone and had a lot of fun playing around with that!

when we got to corpus we checked into our room before going and walking around the water a bit. my dad has a thing for boats and i kid you not we NEVER go to a place with a marina without taking a look at it. so we did that and then decided that courpus weather SUCKS and went back to the hotel to get out of the crazy heat and humidity.

view of the bay from our hotel room.

walking to the marina to look at boats.

we then headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. our hotel was very conveniently located right across the street from landrys so the perfect dinner awaited. we also celebrated blakes graduation and job since a family emergency right after his graduation prevented my parents from actually being able to take him out.

with my parents.

we then changed and headed to the wedding. i have known bryan since i was 5 and have grown up with him at church. it was a nice little opportunity to see lots of old church friends. the wedding was in a beautiful church and the reception was at an art center. it was decorated so cool and kinda had a south beach feel to it. lots of dancing, lots of wine, it was a win in my book!

sunday we got up and headed down to mustang island for lunch before heading back home.

more boats.

overall a very fun weekend. we (mostly i) look forward to the many more weddings we have coming up in the next few months. i just LOVE weddings :)
